I. How it works

One minute,
three motions.

  1. Choose

Drop in a photograph, pick one from the gallery, or open a look a friend sent you as a link.

  2. Wear it

Kome dresses your real desktop for fifteen seconds — windows, widgets, nav bar and all.

  3. Keep it, or don’t

Press Keep and it stays. Do nothing and everything rolls back. A restore point is saved either way.

II. A look

Every look comes labelled, like a good bag of rice.

Kome reads your photograph and writes down what it found: where it came from, which colors it pulled, the type it paired. Nothing hidden, nothing permanent.

Kome /ˈkō·mɛ/ — Japanese for rice

riceNoun

The quiet staple. Polished, sorted, measured by grade.

ricingVerb, slang

Customising a desktop until every pixel is yours — traditionally a weekend lost to config files, themes and forum threads.

KomeSoftware

Ricing for everyone else. One picture in, a whole matching desktop out, and an undo key that always works.
